Lou and Susan Preston planted vines in Dry Creek Valley in the early 1970s and started a little home winery; they called it Preston Vineyards. In the 1980s they planted olive trees, in the 90s apple trees, and in the new millennium they diversified into a full-blown farm that now sports vegetables, berries, stone fruit, grain, pastured hens and grass-fed lamb in addition to their renowned Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rhone blends.
